Testimony of Leaving Islam

So I was born in Jordan but moved here to America at the tender age of 4. As soon as I got to America my parents made sure that I spoke English so my English is perfectly American. My Arabic lacks majorly, but I was able to read the Quran in Arabic so it is not that bad !

I come from a family where my parents were not religious but my grandparents were. I grew up going to mosque on holidays and I read the Quran twice. But that is about all when it comes to being religious! I graduated high school and college. Went to college and got a Masters in Social Work. During this time I was not religious, so religion did not worry me. Then one day I found out that a friend of mine was gay. I was completely supportive of him but wanted to know what Islam said on it so I started doing more research on Islam. I Read the Quran again and read hadeeths as well as tafsir as well as ibn ishaq's biography of Mohammad. Then I started reading Islamic websites and saw all kinds of claims. So I joined here posting my objections and seeing if I could get a good response.

Right now I am not Muslim and I am currently researching religions. Some thing is pulling me towards Judaism but then some thing is pulling me toward atheism. Sometimes I still might ask questions and some one might think I am a Muslim because it might be like pro Islam. That is just because I am trying to see what non Muslims think. Most of them are probably some silly questions like asking what they think of "miracle fish" or some thing.

So there is my story. Raised semi Muslim, studied Islam a little and left! Still not 100% though if you know what I mean by that but hopefully one day I will be 100% sure
