Testimony of Leaving Islam
I dont believe in the teachings of Islam. It's a long story but here goes:
I used to be a very devout Muslim praying 5 times every day; I even used to pray sunnah prayers and was even called muttawa' as a pious person. Then some very bad personal experiences happened which made me doubt god and made me ask myself: "What if all those Atheists in my class were right?"
Since then i have been researching Islam, and other religions. I have also researched other cult leaders, some of whom had half a million followers and I found striking similarities to them with the self proclaimed prophet Muhammad.
I also saw all the sects that exist within Islam and even within those sects Muslim's can't agree on doctrinal issues. I read about the theory of evolution and astronomy and found a better explanation for the existence of life through natural selection without any divine intervention.
As for jinns and angels, I used to believe in all those mythical creatures but I feel lucky to have left Islam at a young age as I think its all superstition. i am 22 now and left Islam last year when I was 21 years old.
My family are all still Muslim and some of them are extremely pious, but I don't discourage them from following it, but I do sometimes try give them a different point of view. For example last month I asked my sister if she heard about evolution and she says its all BS
But anyway, thats life
You believe in hell and heaven, Catholics believe in hell heaven and purgatory, Hindus believe in reincarnation
I believe that when you die you die. I also believe that all religious people are zombies who imitate one another.
I know quite a lot about Islam and I made sure I read the whole Quran and Sahih hadith before I rejected the religion of my parents.
