Muslim Brotherhood in Syria Call on Army to Support Uprising

The Muslim Brotherhood in Syria commended the popular uprising which began on 15 March, considering that "the time has come to pay the price." The group also warned the Syrian regime of the consequences of targeting demonstrators, demanding that the Syrian Army align itself with those in the street. On another front, Syrian activists called on the Syrian Army to overthrow the regime and stand beside the people.
The group said in an excerpt of a statement which was received by almoslim.net: "O men and women of Syria, you who are rising up in Dara'a, Damascus, Homs, Aleppo, Banias, al-Qamishli, and Dir al-Zur... and all provinces of Syria: you have proved to all the world that you are a great and noble people, ready to pay the price of honor...you have shown by your national unity, that you are a civilized people, which only seeks freedom, far removed from chaos, retaliation, and revenge." ...
