My Testimony of Leaving Islam
I'm a 19 year old student living in London. Born and raised a Muslim. I first started having doubts about Islam around 2 years ago. I had debates with some atheist friends of mine (Atheists - people I had been led to believe to be nothing but ignorant Kuffar, Zionists etc ever since I was born), and found out the complete opposite. They were intelligent, knowledgeable people (in many cases they knew more about Islam than I did!).
Anyway to cut a long story short, I spent the subsequent few months doing lots of reading and research about the subjects of God (in general), Allah, The Quran, Mohammad etc; trying to be as open-minded and objective as I could in order to find the truth.
Well, inevitably I came to the conclusion that Islam and the Quran are sadly nothing but a load of rubbish. That I had been bullied to believe in Allah and fear him all my life without really being given a choice, or a chance to even think about it. The Quran is not miraculous in any way. The list could go on forever. It was a tough decision for me to make, knowing that all those years of religious education were nothing but a total waste of time, but I believe I have made the right decision. I now know better.
I also decided to keep this to myself. There's no point in losing all my friends and family for the sake of religion.
