Testimony of Leaving Islam

Hello everyone. I am from Malaysia. First of all I wish to thank Ali Sina for creating such a great site. I am only 20 years old. I must be the youngest person around here! I am very proud to say that I have finally renounced the false religion of Islam! Thanks a lot to Mr.Sina and a whole bunch of helpful people here who shown and proved to me the real face of Muhammad, the fallacies of the Quran and wicked acts done by extremists around the world. I'll try to describe my background, and at the same time not revealing too much information as to reveal my identity.

My doubts about Islam came when I was 17. I was shown by someone (I wouldn't dare mention who sorry) the contradictions of the hadiths to the Quran. I started doing a lot of research myself about the hadith and read about the arguments between the Sunnis and the so-called 'Quranites'-Muslims who insist that they should only follow the Quran for guidance. By then I have affirmed to myself that the Hadith were a lie. Well, maybe not when it came to revealing the outrageous acts of Muhammad. It's interesting that the arguments of hadith supporters are used back against them in uncovering Muhammad's evil and the fallacies of Islam! Then about a year later, I was further shown the true nature of the Quran in an article on the Web titled "The Arab Conspiracy". I have forgotten the URL at the moment sorry, but you can access it easily by typing the title into yahoo! search engine or Google. It seems that the meaning of the Quranic verses were perverted into a hideous cult of idol-worship. Then, it affirmed to me that Islam is not as perfect and 'holy' as it seems.

The final 'blow' came last year in November. I, by chance, stumbled into faithfreedom.org. Now I know that Islam, the whole of it, was a LIE. I have been wasting a good part of my life worshiping a moon god, following a cut-and-paste book, hating non-Muslims; and condemning the West. The impact wasn't very hard to me to accept; perhaps because I am a critical thinker as well as an open minded person who likes to ask for verification on all things that are unclear to me. I made my transition to apostasy step-by-step - accepting the lie behind the Hadiths, then the lies in the Islamic teachings, then the lie of the whole of the religion itself. I will not be announcing to anyone in Malaysia that I have left Islam. Even in Malaysia apostates are treated very badly and even murdered. Malay Muslims are very unforgiving and irrationally intolerant and violent when it comes to religion. They even modified our constitution to state that Malays, by definition, are:

  • Muslim (!)
  • using Bahasa Melayu as mother tongue
  • practicing Malay customs.

So Hindu Malays in Malaysia (who mostly live in Kelantan), are DENIED of their Malay heritage. They are denied of their 'bumiputra privilege'- entrance to public universities, scholarships, loans, political rights, etc. They are treated just like the Chinese, Indians, Eurasians, etc. are. In fact, their mock-up is so effective that NOBODY knows that they are Malay, except perhaps their Muslim relatives.

I am no hadith or Quran nerd, but I will try to debate as best as I can in this forum. I hope my knowledge will be of use to all!
