What the Qur'an Says About Mada'in Saleh

World heritage site Mada'in Saleh (مدائن صالح ) from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The city of Al Hajr or Madain Saleh is an archaeological site in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, located in the of Al Ola sector within the Al Madinah region. It occupies a strategic position linking Mesopotamia with Syria and Egypt. It was the land of Thamoods in Wadi Al Qurah "Valley of Villages", between Al Madinah and Tabouk. They say that, Al Hajar was known as Madain Saleh or Saleh Quarh.
سُوۡرَةُ الاٴعرَاف
بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
وَاذۡكُرُوۡۤا اِذۡ جَعَلَـكُمۡ خُلَفَآءَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ عَادٍ وَّبَوَّاَكُمۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ تَـتَّخِذُوۡنَ مِنۡ سُهُوۡلِهَا قُصُوۡرًا وَّتَـنۡحِتُوۡنَ الۡجِبَالَ بُيُوۡتًا ۚ فَاذۡكُرُوۡۤا اٰ لَۤاءَ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِيۡنَ ﴿۷۴﴾
And remember how He made you viceroys after A'ad and gave you station in the earth. Ye choose castles in the plains and hew the mountains into dwellings. So remember (all) the bounties of Allah and do not evil, making mischief in the earth. (74)سُوۡرَةُ الحِجر
بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
وَكَانُوۡا يَنۡحِتُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡجِبَالِ بُيُوۡتًا اٰمِنِيۡنَ ﴿۸۲﴾
سُوۡرَةُ الفَجر
بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ (٦) إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلۡعِمَادِ (٧) ٱلَّتِى لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِى ٱلۡبِلَـٰدِ (٨) وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُواْ ٱلصَّخۡرَ بِٱلۡوَادِ (٩)
Dost thou not consider how thy Lord dealt with (the tribe of) A'ad, (6) With many-columned Iram, (7) The like of which was not created in the lands; (8) And with (the tribe of) Thamud, who clove the rocks in the valley; (9)سُوۡرَةُ الشُّعَرَاء
بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
وَتَـنۡحِتُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡجِبَالِ بُيُوۡتًا فٰرِهِيۡنَۚ ﴿۱۴۹﴾
Though ye hew out dwellings in the mountain, being skilful? (149)
